Transjourney — 2012 Future Media Festival (超旅程 — 2012未來媒體藝術節) brings together nearly 50 works of digital art by artists from the US, Italy, Germany, South Korea and Taiwan. The festival includes installations by video art pioneer Nam June Paik, as well as a site-specific, audio-visual performance by Canadian artist Herman Kolgen. Through exhibitions, lectures and forums, the festival seeks to integrate “art, performance, sound, video, gaming, lifestyle and technology, to illustrate the trajectory of future arts,” according to the press release. A symposium on digital art will be held on Sunday beginning at 1pm at the Taipei National University of the Arts’ (國立臺北藝術大學) International Conference Hall (國際會議廳).
