Imagine ourselves stepping into a trial of life where multiple times and spaces converge. At the same time, our bodies are navigating and drifting within a dynamic dimension caused by the oscillation between electric circuits and artificial nature. This is a vision of a carnival universe that is formed by a chaotic convergence of madness, disorientation, agitation, and trance—a place where reborn souls can find solace.

The 2024 Circuit Garden-Secret Garden in Tánn-niau program showcases divine and transcendent scenes and narrative experiences based on the architectural characteristics of Chiayi Performing Arts Center. Through immersive and interdisciplinary art performances, the program guides participants to wander both inside and outside the architecture, experiencing scenes from different dimensions. By utilizing a hybrid of technological instruments, the program leads the audience through a spiritual healing and cathartic journey upon history, rituals, and future memories.

This program brings together creative talents from the fields such as technology art, contemporary theater, dance, new media art, kinetic installations, and laser projection mapping, using Chiayi Performing Arts Center as the venue for realization. The artists construct a trial of life where multiple times and spaces converge, a universe that consists of chaos and celebration, and a place for souls to settle. Meanwhile, through the shifting boundary between “circuit” and “garden,” the program reflects a trajectory of time oscillating between extreme stillness and motion, stagnation and chaos, and shows a certain spiritual state with penetrating power.
