2024 Kuan Du Light Art Festival x Post-Garden Experimental Theater: A Transdisciplinary Exhibition/Performance Sau-siann
Sau-siann shows a kind of imagination associated with broken, incomplete, trembling light and shade and sound, which symbolizes an energy transformation from materiality to heat and light; meanwhile, it displays a state of music performance being interrupted and broke.
In Taiwanese Southern Min language, sau-siann(燒聲)means the throat is hurt or husky sound. This kind of croaky voice seems to express the experience of being repressed and disrupted. Through these multiple meanings, the exhibition aims to explore the aesthetic of energy transformation and destructiveness. Moreover, it combined with shimmering light, quavering sound and interactive installations, creating an artistic space filled with dynamic force and tension.
